New Products–Have YOU seen/heard about ‘em yet?

How many ‘out-there’ watch Dr Oz? Lately, (cold weather, snow and ice…I’m staying in more…cooking more…NO Cabin-Fever yet!), I’ve been dvr’ing his show…some great health-related topics that interest me….yes, I am too fat, too old (whereOwhere did the years go?), but would like to live whatever time I have left alloted to me,  in reasonably good health!

I purchased the SafSlim…repudated to “do away”/reduce stomach fat…Yippppeeee! (Montel W. was on his show speaking of this!).  Taking it as recommended—It will be 4 months b4 one can see the difference…ok…I’m game! Took me a lot longer to get the belly fat on.

So, Dr Oz makes a statement about his wife taking pgX daily….so, I look that up….(now I see it has a commercial)  WowZa!  Where have I been? What a great discovery!  Why does’nt Oprah know about this? I mean, IF (I’m thinkin’ positive it WILL work), why has’nt someone told her?  Yes–I purchased it @ Amazon.com (cause I get free delivery, thanks to  ”Prime” membership).  I went to www.pgx.com and downloaded a pdf file on the vice busting diet……soooo easy to re-train eating habits–this way!

I’ll take a picture of me….on my 61st birthday (in November)—NO b4 pictures allowed!  hahaha!

How many have discovered Etsy? I love that site w/all those artsy ppl!  Today I found Barky Bark Light/plug-in  switch plate covers!  Yay!  They are very very nice!  check her out on facebook!  You’ll be glad you did! I’m waiting on feedback, from the artist/crafter to see if she can “frame” Giz and Mikka’s doggy door! (since she is also a picture framer, why not frame my doggy door?)

Hello! My 1st Post!

This is a ‘learn as I go” experience!  My first blog-post!  Hopefully, the humor will return, once the fear of this strange one-sided bantering has subsided! hummmm…any constructive critiquing is appreciated!  <—really!   Workin’ to get my Sass back!

Mikka & Gizmo

So, I should introduce myself,   I’m Debbie (My friends in Pogo.com, named me Sassydebbers, back in 2000).  I live w/the nicest man, Bob, whom I’ve known for more than 42 years! I love to read! (Thank goodness for Kindle)… I love to bake (I make authentic Baklava, and was taught by my Greek friends),  the best ever Pumpkin Pie Cake–a decadent Pumpkin (or Squash) Pound Cake w/homemade Vanilla Sauce….o’yum!

I have 3 adult children, and I have been blessed w/7 grandkids!  From 18 years old, down to 3!  My grandkids have the best parents!! ;o)

I’ve had my dog, Gizmo for 6 1/2 years, he’s a YorkieXChihuahua, and rarely barks–but, upon getting him a little sister, Mikka (YorkieXPoodle), now 3 years old, we found out how blessed we were w/a NON-barker! She’s just like a 6 year old girl-child! They keep us entertained and laughing all day long!  Gizmo loves to go to the local hospital and visit w/patients and staff! I’m not sure who enjoys it the most–Gizmo or the ppl he meets!

Bob and I made an offer on a lot, in a small community,  on the WA coast–did’nt know a “short-sale” meant it would take MONTHS!  We’re taking advantage of the untimely process of paperwork, by, going thru 3 floors and a garage—more than 45 years of collections by Bob’s late wife, his parents and her parent’s “junque”! Down-sizing!  We found an auction house for the antiques and such..off Hwy 26 on Cornelius Road, (close to Forest Grove OR) as soon as the weather is better, we’ll take our first load and see how we fare!

Meanwhile, we’ve been surfing the internet at all hours–day & night (we can, we’re retired!)…looking at pictures of rooms, ceilings, floors, (we even found out they make blue-jean insulation!), etc on sites such-as,  houzz.com,  (and many others)….ferreted out the best remodeling sources, new products, etc!  (*My brother, a Contractor, says: Stop! Quit looking! I guess I need to quit sending him all the new and clever stuff!)  Me? Quit?  No-way!  I know what I like and this will be my last house (more’n likely) and I want what I want! Laughing here….it’s not a cookie-cutter house!  It’s NOT a hoity-toity house either! It will have 2 Master Bedrooms! Living on the coast we’ll have lots of company! ;o)

We met a nice couple, in the small community we’ve chosen for our retirement,  and they invited us over to see their vacation home, and gave us many many tips on building, and living in the community!  Do you have ideas/links for building a comfy eclectic house by the ocean?
